[Bruce had been in a hurry. Being chased by the United States military would do that to you, you see. The sudden change of scenery, however, had been enough to prompt an abrupt stop. I mean, one second you're charging through some lady's underwear and the next you're standing in the middle of a cell? That's a little disconcerting. Bruce is almost absolutely positive he hadn't changed. He wasn't missing any time. Nothing had happened to provoke it.
So....what happened?
He dropped his pack on the bed and set about giving the room a good once over. The sounds of the pursuing soldiers had died, so he figured he had the time. The journal is the last thing he picks up and he thumbs through it, getting a feel for how it works. Reading entries, listening to them. The mechanics of the book are astounding. After a moment or two more, he decides to give it a try himself. The audio cuts in and out briefly as he experiments and then finally:]
Hello?
So....what happened?

So, she's been holding down the fort and keeping an attentive eye on those that had remained; and in this case, watching for new arrivals.
The gentleman had already grasped audio posts, so she introduces him to the video option.]
Heyla, sir... welcome, as it were, to Holloways Keep. My name is Talia and I have been here for over a year's time... I'm certain you've questions?
[Audio]
I'm Bruce. It's nice to meet you. I do have one question. Where exactly is Holloway's Keep?
[Video] forever
A pleasure to meet you, Bruce, barring the rather unforeseen circumstances of our meeting. Holloway's Keep is... in a universe separate, and very far from, your own world, I'm afraid.
There is, as of yet, no way for us to return to our homes that we have found, or that has been shared with us.

Are you sure?

You do much better than many, responding so calmly in your first entry here...

[A small selfeffacing chuckle.]
[Audio]
That is a good frame of mind to have... would that more people approached this place with such a mind.
[Audio]
I'm Bruce. What's your name?

He's always pretty on top of new arrivals, so when an unfamiliar voice pops up questioningly, he sets aside his current project and pulls his journal over.
Say 'hi' to the most confusingly effeminate man you'll likely see for a while, Bruce.]
Hey there. [He offers a smile and waves lightly to the text in the book, acting for all the world as if he's addressing a face.]

[The people here are so friendly! That's a good thing.]
Re: Video
Hi, Bruce, I'm Alex... I see you've gotten the basics... I've been here... God... more than a year. What would you like to know?

Hi, I'm Liz! Wait.. [She frowns slightly, suddenly uncertain.] Like... can you even see me? This is, like, so awkward all the time. Ummm... let me know if you, like, can see me first and then we can continue with all this ... stuff. [She gesticulates around herself to include everything as 'stuff'.]

Well, 'cause I'm, like, a ghost... soooooooo, sometimes , like, my entries, powers, and responses get, like, all jumbled and people can't see me. Annnnnnd, sometimes I, like, disappear in the middle of conversations.
[She shrugs, but makes a bit of a face.]
It's, like, a total downer sometimes, you know?

Well don't worry. I can see you just fine.
